Michael Linert enjoys a varied musical career as a cellist, singer, educator, and composer. Known for his engaging, impassioned performances as well as his inspiring, organized, and rigorous teaching approach, he seeks to create a world fully enriched by music, providing accessible and varied opportunities for all who seek music in their lives.

Dr. Ava Pacheco

Thank you to Dr. Ava Pacheco for working with us a couple hours a week to help improve shoulder/chin rest set-ups, inspiring us with performances, and meeting with students individually to offer support, guidance, and encouragement! Thank you to Michelle Orman and the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra for funding this possibility!

 

A native of Houston, Texas, Ava Pacheco holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Truman State University. Her orchestral engagements include Boulder Chamber Orchestra, Greeley Philharmonic, Boulder Symphony, Boulder Philharmonic, and Cheyenne Symphony. Her teachers include former & current Takacs Quartet second violinists Karoly Schranz & Harumi Rhodes, as well as Sam McClure, Julie Lundgren, and Kathy Karpicke. She lives in Boulder with her husband, Trevor, and their three cats, Socks, Pip, and Coco.
