Westminster High School launched a new tradition last year, replacing the Homecoming Parade with the school’s exciting Homecoming Carnival.

On Saturday September 12, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, students will host carnival-style booths and games, while cheerleaders and athletes lead interactive activities for children. This year aims to be even bigger and better, with food trucks, face painting, slime making, FBLA pop up store, and performances from Mariachi, Choir, Dance, and Cheer.

Each WPS student will receive 10 free activity tickets, with the option to purchase more at a price of 5 tickets for $1. Food will be available for purchase from food trucks such as Wolf Bites, Moonrise Coffee Roasters, the Snowy Churro, Colorado Taco Truck, Kona Ice and more! In keeping with this year’s Tangled in Our Memories theme, students from across the district are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters from the Disney movie Tangled.

The carnival is open to the whole community, not just WPS families. Parking will be available by the baseball field and practice field with ADA and drop off at the Front Entrance lot. WPS security and Campus Monitor will be present to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone.

This year’s carnival is just one part of an action-packed Homecoming week at WHS. Don’t miss the annual Powder Puff Football game will be held on Wednesday, September 16th at 6 pm, followed by the Homecoming Football Game on Friday, Sep. 18 at 7 pm at Westy’s Memorial Stadium.
