TOP TEN STUDENTS HONORED
Westminster High Schools’ Top 10 Students received special recognition last week at the annual brunch hosted by Dr. Pam Swanson at the Bob Landgraf Center for Teaching Excellence.
Board of Education member Aaron Martin joined district leaders in wishing the students well in their life after graduation. “On behalf of the entire community, I want to let you know how proud we are of you,” he said.
Many of these graduates are scholarship award recipients with a varied interest in schools they plan to attend. Among the schools: CU Boulder, CU Denver ,Colorado School of Mines and the University of Northern Colorado.
Senior Hunter Goll told WPS leaders he plans to go to school in Boulder to study accounting. “I plan to go into finance after I graduate from college,.” he said.
Stacey Lor has a different path planned. She will be attending CU Denver to study communications and broadcasting with the hopes of becoming a music record producer someday.
Valedictorian Helen Tran couldn’t attend, but had a very good reason. At the time of the breakfast she was in San Diego playing in an international drone soccer tournament. See the story in this week’s edition of What’s up WPS.
